Information Literacy Program: Research Rubrics

Description

On the right hand side of this page you will find two different versions of the Research Skills rubric. One is simplifed for 1st and 2nd year students, based on the NEED, SEARCH, USE research process. The second is aimed at 3rd and 4th year students, which simply expands the 3-step research process model into a 7-step model. Click on the "Research Process Model" tab to see how they visually fit together.

The third rubric is for scoring both research and writing skills. This is ideal for CORE 102, 103, and 104. It includes a score sheet with room for comments that can be filled out and returned to students with their corrected paper.

Reporting Student Scores

The spreadsheet provided will allow you to easily add student names and give them there scores. We encourage you ro share these scores with your students so they know where they stand when it comes to their research skills.
