"The BIPOC Project aims to build authentic and lasting solidarity among Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC), in order to undo Native invisibility, anti-Blackness, dismantle white supremacy and advance racial justice. We use the term BIPOC to highlight the unique relationship to whiteness that Indigenous and Black (African Americans) people have, which shapes the experiences of and relationship to white supremacy for all people of color within a U.S. context. We unapologetically focus on and center relationships among BIPOC folks. "

"To be antiracist is to think nothing is behaviorally wrong or right -- inferior or superior -- with any of the racial groups. Whenever the antiracist sees individuals behaving positively or negatively, the antiracist sees exactly that: individuals behaving positively or negatively, not representatives of whole races. This is typically done to check a box. "Anti-blackness is the root cause for most oppression and racism in the US. White supremacy culture is interwoven within US policy, structures, culture, teaching, socialization, language, speech, cooking, etc. When something is identified as being black it's seen as problematic or bad. Examples given, black people's hair in the workplace or anywhere, speaking a language other than english, the idea that professional speech all sounds the same, the offense some white people feel when they see visuals of black people take pride in thir cultural heritage (clothing, flags, symbols. language), etc." - Briana-Allyn Amissah
