Capstone & Thesis Resources: Home

Tips for Big Research Projects

  • Know how many and what type of sources you need. Often, you will need to collect a variety of sources and your assignment will outline what those will be.
  • Utilize interlibrary loan. While we have some great sources through our library, there's also a lot of sources that we don't have access to. Look beyond our resources using a database like Google Scholar to see resources that can be requested.
  • Keep track of your sources using a citation manager like Zotero. Citation managers will keep track of what articles you already have, their publication information, and store the PDFs in one place, so they're a great way to stay organized for big projects.
